What you need to know.

Once complete with the Foundation exam, an offer of employment will be issued to you.

NOTE: Candidate can only sit for a mock exam with Mondjila Project Advisory once over a 365 day cycle.

  • Civil Engineering Degree, or Economics Degree
  • Your Own Laptop
  • Proactive, hardworking
  • Able to research on various projects and sectors
  • Basic understanding of financial models
  • Basic Understanding of infrastructure projects
  • Able to teach and host capacity building on PPP topics
  • Strong administration skills
  • Ability to use excel

The Foundation level is aimed at individuals working at a basic level of PPP implementation, with little or no prior experience. It aims to standardize their knowledge of the PPP process and terminology, as described in the Guide. The exam tests whether a candidate has sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PPP Guide to act as an informed team member of a PPP finance project. Thus enabling them to participate in a team environment and move on to implementing the process. The Foundation certification is a pre-requisite for the two Practitioner certifications.

  • The fundamentals of successful financing for PPP projects.
  • The most effective sources of financing for PPP projects, plus their benefits and limitations.
  • Configure new PPP structures and how to identify existing effective structures.
  • The main stages of the PPP process.

The Foundation exam is based on Chapter 1, Annex A and the Glossary of the PPP guide.

  • 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 50%
  • 50 minutes duration
  • Closed book
